Grading to black belt at 11

Karate has helped me build Confidence
One term turned into 6 years

Osu, my name is Brodie Elphinstone and I am 11 years old. I am going for my Black Belt grading this weekend. I have been at Shiryodo Karate for 4 years, and I have learnt a lot, from respect to fitness. Respect is a very important thing in Karate, and they teach it very well. I have become respectful to my seniors, elders, and peers. I have also become very coordinated since I first started at Karate. In fact, one of the reasons that I joined was to be more coordinated. I have learnt how to control my arms and legs, as well as bring very good technique. I have gotten quite fit since I first started at Shiyodo, and have very good strength and core fitness. I can now even tense myself to not get winded in a fight.

The question I constantly ask myself is how can I help this person... what can I do to empower them, help them focus, help them become the best they can be.
